I made it to third year! Whoop! Going to be a fun and busy year designing for two projects, a long study essay, photo shoots and lots of fundraising. This year I will be making 3 costumes 1 of which is a historically cut piece (though I doubt it will look much like the period it's based from) which is Empress Elisabeth from the musical Elisabeth, the other 2 will be characters from The Dark Crystal. I'll be redesigning all of them so they won't look a lot like the originals but hopefully I'll do them justice!
Here's hoping for a good year!
Thought I'd upload some drawings from when I was bored at work experience. Decided to work on my character Myrtle a bit and try and come up with some sort of character for him since character analysis is a big thing on our course and I tend to be generally rubbish at it. Drawing him out has helped quite a bit though need to actually write about him. Tried to portray someone who's a bit of a flirt since myrtle basically symbolises "Love."
His costume and Kelpie are now it the works Kelpie being quite behind but that's not my fault (stupid plasterzote suppliers). I will upload work in progress pics when i take them!
Well managed to upload more stuff again especially now I have a scanner. Will upload more of my work since I managed to find my designs from some project last year. I like to think I have greatly improved in drawing humans over the past year but I've still got a long way to go.
However I have uploaded my most recent designs from college for a project called "Sea of Lost Souls." In this project we were given free range for the first time to do whatever we wanted as long as it had something to do with the Sea and that it involved dead people, spirits, etc. We could make it historical, base it off a existing story or make our own up. I decided
